În perioada 08.03-12.03.2011 in interiorul bisericii au fost efectuate lucrari de amenajare la nivelul pardoselii, constand din: demontarea pardoselilor vechi, evacuarea umpluturii de suport pe o adancime medie de 0,30 m si refacerea unui sistem nou de dusumele. În acest context a fost necesara asistarea arheologica a lucrarilor, completata cu cateva sondaje pentru delimitarea fragmentelor de pardoseala veche... sau a unor fundatii de altare laterale. Supravegherea a fost realizată prin degajarea a 0,20 m din umplutura actuală, pe toată suprafaţa corului şi a navei. În corul bisericii au fost conturate un număr de 4 cripte, construite din cărămidă legată cu mortar. Pe latura de N şi de S a corului a fost surprinsă urma unui pavaj din cărămidă dezafectat. Au fost descoperite foarte puţine materiale arheologice: fragmente ceramice ce pot fi datate în sec. XVIII-XIX, dar şi materiale de construcţii (ţigle, olane, cărămizi).
Moşna city is located in the northern part of Sibiu County, on the Valley of Moşna, on the Hartibaciului Plateau, on road 141, Pelişor-Moşna-Mediaş. The fortified evangelical church in the city dates to the Middle Ages, being built in several stages during the 13th and 16th centuries. During 08.03-12.03.2011 inside the church were carried out works for the improvement of the floor consisting of: removing the old floor, evacuation of the support filling on an average depth of 0.30 m and building a new system of floors.
In this context, the archaeological supervising was necessary and it was completed by a few surveys in order to delimit the fragments of old floor or some foundations of side altars.
